Kasianus,Fransiskus (2016) ‘An Analysis on Code-Mixing Used in Cinta yang Tertambat Novel Written By Emily Giffin in academic year 2015/2016.
This study aimed at analyzing the functions and purposes of code mixing used in the Cinta yang Tertambat Novel. The analysis relied much on Peter Musken and Hoffman theory.
 This research was descriptive qualitative research. The data were taken through selecting the novel, reading and taking note and some procedure to analyze the data were data reduction, displaying the data and interpreting or analyzing. 
From this research the researcher got some findings about the types of code–mixing which derived into insertion, alternation and congruent lexicalization. The researcher found out forty code mixings used by the character in Cinta yang Tertambat Novel. Those examples were categorized in three types of code-mixing according to Musken theory, they are: insertion, alternation and congruent lexicalization. In this novel  the researcher found that there were twenty five (25) of insertion code-mixing, there were nineteen (19) of alternation code-mixing and there was only one (1) of congruent lexicalization.
Based on the result above the researcher concluded that, in this novel the character mostly used insertion code-mixing.
