 <note><![CDATA[ABSTRACT
This study aims at finding out the metaphor that used in tudak wuat wa’i  at Lale village. Metaphor was a part of figurative language that used in any speech event for instance found on tudak wuat wa’i in manggarain culture. This study talked about how the speakers uttered the words by using metaphor to the audience.
This study was designed in Descriptive Qualitative Research in which the data would be analyzed descriptively because the data of this research is in form of word that represented in the Tudak Wuat Wa’i ceremony. In collecting the data there were some procedure such as: observation and interview. This study classification based on theory of Cȍveces such as: conceptual metaphor, mixed metaphor and poetic metaphor. in analyzed the data, the writer used three procedures such as: data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing.
The results of the study showed that the dominant used metaphor in tudak wuat wa’i is mixed metaphor because this type is the simple type in which combined by one or more words become or create a single meaning. Second is conceptual metaphor, in this type explained one idea or more in which how to compare one thing to another. The last one is poetic metaphor, because in this type is the complicated metaphor in which to compare by using conceptual metaphor and mixed metaphor.
In conclusion, metaphor appeared in form of word and expression that uttered by the speaker in tudak wuat wa’i ceremony at Lale village and each word have kinds of metaphor based on theory that used by the writer.
