Penelitian  ini  dilatarbelakangi  oleh  masalah  karakter  siswa  yang  suka 
membuat masalah di sekolah yaitu siswa yang suka bolos pada jam pelajaran dan 
siswa  yang sering bekelahi di sekolah, dan pelaksanaan bimbingan  konseling di 
SDK  Lous  belum  secara  optimal  dilakukan.  Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk 
mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan bimbingan konseling dalam pembentukan karakter 
siswa SDK Lous.
Metode  yang  digunakan  dalam  penelitian  ini  yaitu  deskripsi  kualitatif.
Penelitian  kualitatif  adalah  penelitian  yang  bermaksud  untuk  memahami 
fenomena  tentang  apa  yang  dialami  oleh  subjek  penelitian  misalnya  perilaku, 
persepsi,  motivasi,  tindakan  secara  holistik  dan  dengan  cara  deskripsi  dalam 
bentuk kata-kata dan bahasa, pada suatu konteks khusus yang alamiah.  Instrument 
yang  digunakan  dalam  penelitian  ini  yaitu  pedoman  wawancara  dengan  aspek 
yang  diwawancarai  yaitu  pelaksanaan  bimbingan  konseling,  peran  guru 
bimbingan konseling dalam pembentukan karakter siswa, nilai-nilai karakter yang 
menjadi  prioritas  di  sekolah,  cara  menerapkan  nilai  karakter,  bentuk  layanan 
bimbingan  konseling  dalam  pembentukan  karakter  siswa,  perwujudan  perilaku 
siswa,  langkah-langkah  dalam  pelaksanaan  bimbingan  konseling,  dan  pengaruh 
bimbingan konseling dalam pembentukan karakter siwa. Subjek dalam penelitian 
ini adalah guru kelas IV, guru kelas V, dan guru kelas VI, beserta siswa kelas IV, 
kelas V, dan kelas  VI di SDK  Lous. Metode  ananlisis data dalam penelitian ini 
yaitu reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. 
Hasil  penelitian  menunjukan  bahwa  bentuk  bimbingan  yang  dilakukan 
oleh guru dalam pembentukan karakter siswa yang bolos dan perkelahian dengan 
memberikan  bimbingan  dan  nasehat  sehingga  siswa  berubah  dengan  tidak 
melakukan kesalahan lagi. Peran guru bimbingan konseling pada umumnya sangat 
penting dan besar pengaruhnya terhadap keberhasilan pendidikan karakter dalam 
mengembangkan  pribadinya  secara  utuh.  Guru  sangat  berperan  penting  dalam 
memberikan  bimbingan  terhadap  pembentukan  karakter  siswa,  karena  guru 
merupakan  fasilitator  yang  tugas  utamanya  memberikan  nasehat  kepada  siswa 
yang  mengalami  masalah.  Layanan  bimbingan  konseling  dalam  pembentukan 
karakter  siswa  yaitu  layanan  orientasi,  informasi,  individual,  dan  layanan 
konsultasi.

counseling  in  the  formatioin  of  the  fourth  grade  pupils’  character  of  Lous’ 
Catholic  Elementary  School  (CES)  in  academic  year  2015/2016,  Cibal

This  research  is  backgrounded  by  the  problem  of  pupil’s  character  that 
likes  to  make  problem  at  school,  that  was  the  pupil  who  liked  to  leave  on 
learning hour and pupils who often fought at school, and the implementation 
of the guidance-counseling in Lous’ CES that has not yet been optimally done. 
This  research  aims  at  describing  the  implementation  of  the  guidancecounselilng in the formation of the characters of the pupils of Lous’CES. 
The  method  used  in  this  research  was  a  qualitative  description.  The 
qualitiative  research  is  research  aims  at  comprehending  the  phenomena  of 
what is experienced by the research’s subject,  examples; attitude, perception,
motivation, wholistic action, and by way of describing it in the form of words 
and  language,  on  a,  naturally,typical  context.  The  instrument  used  in  this 
research  was  the  interview  guidline  with  the  facets  being  interviewed:  the 
implelmentation  of  the  guidance-counseling,  the  role  of  the  guidancecounseling teacher in the formation of the pupil’s character, the characteristic 
values  that  become  the  priority  at  school,  the  way  of  applying  the  value  of 
character, the form of the guidance-counseling service in the formation of the 
pupil’s character, the reality of the pupil’s attitude, the steps in implementing 
the guidance and counseling, and the influence of the guidance and counseling 
in the formation of pupil’s character. The subjects in this research were the 
fourth, the fifth,  and the sixth classes’ teachers together  with the  fourth,  the 
fifth,  and  the  sixth  classes’  pupils  of  the  Lous’  PIES.  The  methods  of  data 
analysis  in  this  research  were:  data  reduction,  data  display,  and  conclusio’s 
withdrawal.
The  research’s  result  shows  that  guiding  form  done  by  teacher  in  the 
formation of the character of the pupils who who left the class  and fighting 
was by giving the guidance and advice that the pupils changed by not making 
anymore mistake. The role of the guidance-counseling teacher, in general, was 
very  important  and  great  in  influence  toward  the  success  of  the  character’s 
education in developming one’s personality, completely.  The teacher is very 
important in role throughout the giving of the guidance toward the formation 
of  pupil’s  character,  because  teacher  seems  to  be  the  facilitator  whose  main 
duty  gives  advice  to  the  pupil  who  gets  the  problem.   The  services  of  the 
guidance  and  counseling  in  the  formation  of  the  pupil’s  character  are:  the 
orientative  service,  informational  service,  individual  service,  and  the 
consultative service.
